We are proud to have worked with a range of athletes, from elite professionals, right through to beginners. These athletes have achieved some great results and improved markedly whilst training with our team. Below are some of the athletes we have coached since we started in 1999. Currently we have produced over 40 Australian champions and multiple World age group champions for triathlon.
Boyd has trained with and coached for TeamTSO since it’s inception in 1999. Some of his highlights while working as a fireman include: 8:45 Ironman time, 6th overall Ironman Malaysia, NSW Olympic Distance GOLD medal, winning over 50 international triathlon events.
Regina made huge gains in performance whilst training under our program. Highlights: Bronze medal in 2009 World Championships (25-29 female), 1st overall 2009 National Series Triathlon – Geelong, 4th overall 2009 ITU Continental Cup – Indonesia, multiple short course event GOLD medals.
Scott became the best ITU junior athlete in Australia, with an undefeated run in the Australian National Series. An 11:36 for 1000m in the pool, 14:51 for 5000m on the track, and a stellar bike leg, meant that Scott had no weaknesses.
Joel trained with our squad in 2009/2010, during his comeback to the sport. He achieved an 8th overall in the Australian long course titles.
Nathan trained in our swimming and transition squads, prior to the U23 – 2006 World Championships, where he won SILVER. He reduced his 2km swim time trial from 25 minutes to 24:12 (25m pool).
Kirsten trained with our squad for 5 months and achieved the following: 2:48:56 in the 2009 Gold Coast Marathon (5th) when previously unable to break 3hrs. 1:20 in the 2009 LM Half Marathon. 15 minute P.B. in the 2009 Hawaii Ironman. 4th overall Yeppoon Half Ironman.
Brett was a talented junior, competing at the World Championships and winning National All Schools with his father Bob Lee. He then had some time out of the sport. Brett moved to Newcastle and trained with our squad for 6 months during his comeback, where he ran 16:17 for 5km running, after 4 weeks of training!
Aaron is a talented athlete, originally from Newcastle. He completed some squad sessions with our team in 2009, when he returned home.
Keira trained with our squad in 2009 when she was in Newcastle, completing some open water and track running sessions. In 2010, she obtained a QAS scholarship.
Richard Munro started training with our squad in late 2010, and finished 3rd overall in the Canberra Half Ironman, in a sub-4 hour time. He also raced as a professional in the 2011 Ironman New Zealand event. Richard is from the Central Coast, NSW, Australia.
Mutliple short course GOLD medals under our program, including the Newcastle Olympic distance triathlon. In addition she was 3rd overall at Ironman Australia and achieved PB’s in each discipline throughout our partnership.

Jared trained with our team for several months during the 2014/2015 season, and became a real force in the age group ranks. We made some impressive improvements with his swimming performances and efficiency during that time.

GOLD medallist in NSW swimming titles and GOLD in Australian Ironman titles. PB of 1:58 (200m) and 54 (100m) at 14yrs.

Brock Taylor (ITU Junior)
3rd overall Jackie Fairweather ITU 2015.
9:20 at Ironman Australia on debut and 9:14 in the Hawaii Ironman on debut.
We worked with Shane in various capacities during his development. Some of his achievements included an 8:59 Ironman, and a GOLD medal at the World Long Course titles. Boyd Conrick coached Shane as he moved from surf lifesaving to triathlon.
GOLD medal at Australian 70.3 championships.
Hawaii Ironman Top 10 (age group) and 9 hour Ironman.
Hawaii Ironman qualifier and 8:58 Ironman.
9:38 Ironman in his first attempt under our guidance.
GOLD medal at Woolgoolga Triathlon (1st overall female).
2002 NSW Junior GOLD medallist. Gold medal (30-34) at Hell of the West Long Course and first age group athlete. Gold medal (30-34) at Coffs Harbour Olympic Distance, and 1st age group athlete. Best 70.3 time currently 4:10 (Challenge Forster) and Ironman 9:02 (Ironman WA) whilst working full time and training 12-15 hours per week on the TSO custom Ironman plan.
